Brown Rice Pilaf
- 1 & ½ Cups brown rice
- 3 Cups water
- ¼ Cup almonds (chopped)
- 1 Teaspoon parsley
- ½ Teaspoon garlic powder/fresh, minced garlic
- Black pepper to taste
- Place all ingredients in large pot/rice cooker and cook until the water evaporates (about 30 minutes).
- Fluff with a fork and serve.
- Serving size is ½ cup and is 145 calories
